Nzulezo is a village built entirely on stilts above Lake Amansuri, in Ghana's far southwest. About 600 people live in raised wooden houses connected by long plank walkways, all anchored into the lakebed. There's no road in — you reach it only by canoe, paddled an hour through a mangrove channel that opens onto the lake. It's on UNESCO's tentative list and feels like a country of its own.

Both run. The lake level rises in the wet season (May–Sep), pushing the channel a little wider; dry season (Oct–Apr) means easier paddling and clearer skies. Bring a light shell either way.
