Two days that move through the most-told stretch of Ghana's coast — and the rainforest that towers behind it. You'll stand inside the "Door of No Return" at Cape Coast Castle, where enslaved Africans were marched onto ships to the Americas; you'll walk the dungeons of Elmina, the oldest European building south of the Sahara (1482); and you'll cross the 350-metre canopy walkway at Kakum, suspended 30 metres above one of West Africa's last virgin rainforests. Between the heavy history and the rainforest air: a beachfront stay at Elmina, fresh palm-grilled fish, and a sundowner at Brenu Beach.
We collect you from any hotel in Accra, East Legon, Cantonments, Airport, Osu, Labadi or Tema. Share your address at booking — we'll confirm pickup time 24h before.

"Our guide Kofi grew up here. He didn't read a script — he told us about his great-grandmother. Cape Coast wrecked me. Elmina at dawn put me back together."
"The canopy is no joke — those rope bridges sway. Doing it at sunrise, when the mist still sits in the forest, was the highlight of our 3-week trip."
"I'm Ghanaian-born, but I'd never been to the castles. As a returnee this hit different. Worth doing once with a guide who actually knows the place."
"Brilliant in every way — the only thing I'd add is to skip the included Hans Cottage stop unless you really want to pet a crocodile. Otherwise: 10/10."
Yes. The bridges have been maintained since 1995, hold thousands of walkers a year, and you're harnessed only if you choose to be. They do sway — that's part of the experience.
Yes, and yes — with care. The dungeons can be intense for adults; for under-10s we suggest visiting just the courtyards and museum exhibits. Tell us at booking and your guide will adjust.

Feb–Apr and Aug–Oct are ideal: dry, warmer, fewer crowds. December is busy (Detty December overflows to Cape Coast); avoid the heaviest rains in Jun–Jul.
For Ghana entry generally: yes — the original certificate, not a photocopy. For this tour itself, no extra documentation beyond your ID.
